On May 13, 2025, graduate students from the F. Joseph Halcomb III, M.D. Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Kentucky swept the graduate division at the 2025 PNC Wildcat Pitch Competition, claiming all three top spots.
FlowTech secured first place with its innovative wearable device for real-time brain hemodynamics monitoring. Team members Faezeh Akbari, Pegah Safavi, and Fatemeh Hamedi were recognized for their strong technical foundation and commercialization potential.
Neuro Vista, led by Faraneh Fathi, earned second place, and RAM Devices, presented by Madison Laurel Bates, took third place—further showcasing the department's excellence in research-driven innovation.
