Faraneh Fathi is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Kentucky. She joined the Biomedical Optics laboratory as a Ph.D. student in the Fall of 2020. Prior Joining to the University of Kentucky, she obtained a Master of Science degree in biomedical engineering from Marquette University, Milwaukee. Faraneh is involved in multiple imaging projects including developing and optimizing 1) laser speckle contrast imaging (LSCI) with picosecond pulsed laser and 2) multiple-wavelength speckle contrast diffuse correlation tomography (MW-scDCT) to measure blood flow and oxygenation for intraoperative and postoperative assessment of human mastectomy skin flaps.
