Mubashir Hussain joined Biomedical Optics Lab as a postdoctoral scholar in 2025. He earned his BS degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Faisalabad, MS degree in Electrical Engineering specialization in Electronics from National University of Sciences and Technology, Pakistan, and PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Southeast University, China. His research interests include microfluidics, biomedical instruments, machine learning, and optical spectroscopy.

Currently, he is working on non-invasive monitoring of cerebral blood flow (CBF) to enhance point-of-care testing and optimize the management of neurological conditions.
